Inside a rock and a hard place.

As the sun rises and poors light into the cave Granite slowly wakens, still sore he streatches his joints and groans loud enought to wake Nina and the Flamekin. Granite looks around and sees Regulus still resting.
"His wounds are still pretty bad" said Morg who was sitting on a log staring deeply at the black coal from the late night fire.
"Come everyone, we need figure out what to do and what our next move is"...

Granite grabs his sledge and sits on the log across from Morg, he clears his throat and places his sledge down on a rock, "We have to get the people of Alara away from here, if the Maelstrom can do what I assume it can do, we, and the people of Alara, must be evacuated, immediately"

Morg nods to Granite.
"Yes I agree but first I demand to know why Regulus stopped us from attacking that cloud thing! Who or what was it and why did we back down like cowards to it!? Rino! Wake the cat up I want answers!

Granite stands and cracks his fingers, "Firstly, I have a name, call me Rino again, and we will have a problem. Secondly, I would be glad to wake him up." Granite walks over to Regulus' sleeping body and picks him up, "Come on kitty cat, time to explain yourself" Granite walks over to a log and sets him on it, Granite then sits down, "Now, explain"

Regulus coughs and Sits up a bit holding his ribs.

"If that thing in the cloud is who I think it is, none of use had any hope of facing it. I believe that he was the one that brought the shards back together, he was the one that fought Ajani at the convergence....hes the reason Alara is the way it is...That is why I did what I did, I bought us time. We need to find out whats really going on and how to stop it.

Granite shakes his head, "If this is as bad as you're saying it is, we don't have time to think about it! We need to take action!" Granite looks down at the floor. He points at Morg while still looking down, "If you're as powerful as you claim to be," he lifts his head, "Then why can't you help?"

Morg shifts under his robes.
"I know this might be hard for you to understand but I am here for my own reasons and can't help you. The events that are about to take place must take place without my interference. I am truly sorry but I can't say any more about it.
"Morg stands and turns his back to the group."

Granite stands in outrage, "Then leave! If you're not going to help, you're just an eyesore and are of no use! GO!"

Without turning around.
"I can not do that either, I must bear witness to what is about to happen, I know its not fair to leave you in the night like this but trust me, this is how it must be."

Regulus slowly and weakly stands.

"Trust you? why should we?*
*cough cough*

Regulus clears his throat.

"...It doesn't matter."
Regulus pulls his hood over his mane.
"I think we should still travel to meet my elder, they might have answers to all this. Its our best bet."

Granite picks up his hammer and seems calm, "Very well..." he walks to the entrance of the cave, lifts up his hammer and slams it into the wall of the caves, screaming as he does it, creating a large hole in the wall, growling afterwards. The cave rumbles, "We should get going," he walks out of the cave ahead of everyone else, "If you're too slow you get left behind!," he yells to everyone behind him.

Karith nods.

"Then let us go. Morg was it? The strings of life takes us all for a ride, it takes much effort to not interfere."

Morg looks at the Flamekin
"Wise words yes, its Karith right?"

"It is."

Now let us wake the young one before we part.

Granite halts in his movement and sighs. He turns around and walks into the cave to Nina who was sleeping on a rock. He lightly shoves her, "Hey" he lightly shoves again, "We have to go"

Nina's markings on her arms, which is normally a bright reddish hue, is grey and cloudy.
She doesn't wake from the gentle shoves, or the Rhox's attempts to verbally wake her.

Karith leans over her.
"She must still be spent from the last battle... I would be too if I hit that thing that hard."

Karith picks her up and heads to the hole.

"Come Morg, We must depart from this place."

Granite stands and looks at the sleeping girl's face while she is carried away by the flamekin, genuine worry on his face. He follows behind closely, making sure to guard both the flamekin and the girl. "She'll be fine right? She has to be fine..." he silences himself and simply follows

Morg looks back at Regulus who slowly stands and they follow the rest out of the cave.

"She is elemental by nature, but in a different aspect than I, so I am unsure of anything. But she should be fine..."


The party follows the tunnel down, but a mist forms the further they go.


Rhox, Morg, and Regulas seem to lose Karith and Nina in the mist and any form of verbal communication seems to be useless.

The group starts to feel like they are being watched by a unknown force.
